Statistical Data: Government Information Vs. Scholarly Journal Articles

The following are the statistical Information I found about my Gay men and issues affecting them.

Minnesota Reference Library (2012) Resources on Minnesota Issues: Same-sex Marriage in Minnesota. Retrieved from http://www.leg.state.mn.us/lrl/issues/issues.aspx?issue=gay

Jordan, K. M. (2000). Substance Abuse Among Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, and Questioning Adolescents. School Psychology Review. 29(2), 201-206. Retrieved from http://www.nasponline.org

Both sources indicate how the information was gathered. For example the government data uses previous proceedings and laws to support her claims.

  1. Hi Taiwo,

Thank you for your post about the two information resources.

What is the difference in how the statistical information from both resources is used and presented?

I look forward to your response.

    Sincerely,
    Professor Wexelbaum
